Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By accessing or using Fister, you accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you are using Fister on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Fister. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you may only use Fister with the involvement and agreement of a parent or legal guardian. Fister is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. See the Children’s Privacy section for more.

3. Accounts and authentication

Fister supports guest play and account play. Signed-in accounts use Discord OAuth or email-based identity to keep your username, cosmetics, and stats persistent. By signing in with Discord, you authorize us to access basic profile fields permitted by Discord. By using email login, you authorize us to send transactional and authentication messages to the address you provide.

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials safe. We are not responsible for losses resulting from someone else accessing your Discord or email account.

4. Conduct

While using Fister you agree not to:

• Use cheats, hacks, exploits, scripts, bots, or any unauthorized software that modifies or automates gameplay.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code or assets except where allowed by law.
• Disrupt or attempt to disrupt servers, matches, or other players’ connections.
• Harass, threaten, stalk, or impersonate other players or staff.
• Post or transmit slurs, hate speech, sexual content involving minors, or content that incites violence or self-harm.
• Exploit bugs or glitches for unfair advantage instead of reporting them.
• Use Fister for illegal activity or to violate the rights of others.
• Circumvent moderation actions, including bans, mutes, or revoked tokens.

5. User-generated content

Fister lets players create or upload content such as custom maps, custom banners, custom patches, usernames, and chat messages. You retain ownership of the content you create. By submitting it, you grant Fister a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, display, distribute, and use that content for the purpose of operating, promoting, and improving the service.

You are responsible for the content you create. You represent that it does not infringe on any third party’s rights, violate any law, or breach the conduct rules above. We may remove user content that violates these Terms or that we believe poses legal or community risk, and we may remove access to authoring tools from accounts that repeatedly violate the rules.

6. Intellectual property

The Fister name, logo, in-game art, code, server tooling, cosmetic catalog, music, sound effects, and other original assets are owned by the Fister team or licensed to it. Except for personal, non-commercial use within the game, you may not copy, redistribute, modify, sell, sublicense, or create derivative works of these materials without our written permission.

Fan content, clips, and screenshots taken during normal play may be shared freely, including for streams, videos, and social posts, provided you do not claim official affiliation, sell access to Fister assets, or misrepresent the game.

7. Third-party services

Fister relies on third parties including Discord (OAuth and community), Cloudflare (hosting, DNS, CDN, object storage), and Vultr (game servers and database). Your use of those services is also subject to their own terms and privacy policies. Fister is not responsible for outages or actions taken by these providers, but we will make a reasonable effort to communicate when an incident affects players.

8. Disclaimers

Fister is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure against every threat, or that it will always match your expectations. You use Fister at your own risk. Match outcomes, ranking changes, cosmetic drops, and other in-game state are not guaranteed and may change as part of normal balance or moderation activity.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Fister and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, revenue, or goodwill, arising from or relating to your use of the service. Where liability cannot be excluded by law, our total liability is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the past twelve months or USD ten.

10. Suspension and termination

We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your access to Fister at any time, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms, the community rules, or applicable law, or if needed to protect the service or its players. You may stop using Fister at any time. Sections of these Terms that should reasonably survive termination, including intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability, continue to apply after your access ends.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms as the service evolves. Material updates will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Continued use of Fister after an update means you accept the revised Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by applicable United States law, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Nothing in this section limits any non-waivable consumer rights you may have under the laws of your country of residence.
